3DConnexion, a subsidiary company owned by Logitech, has created a peripheral that is designed for six-axis views on three-dimensional software products.

The first version, the SpaceNavigator, has been out for some time now. 3DConnexion has recently released a lighter, smaller version of the same product with the SpaceNavigator for laptops.

Oddly enough, the laptop version will cost $129, while the desktop is only about $59 ($99 with commercial license). I'm not sure if this device will sweep the nation, but I believe we would need more interactive 3-D software programs before that happens.
